Notification

Clicking the notification bell icon in the left sidebar opens the Notifications panel — a live feed of events relevant to the user, covering everything from org/workspace membership changes to dataset, annotation, training, and deployment activity.

Panel Structure

The panel has three tabs:

All: Every notification by default — completed jobs, one-off events (invites, role changes, uploads, version creation, dataset merges), and the completed state of any job that was previously "Ongoing."

OnGoing: Jobs currently in progress, with a live progress/status bar that updates in real time (e.g., training, auto-annotation, prediction, deployment, embedding generation).

Failed: A dedicated tab for failed jobs so errors are easy to spot for retry/debugging — includes error details where available (e.g., "check logs").

Each Notification Card Shows

  • User avatar + initials (e.g., "VP"), or org initials for org-level events

  • Notification title and short description

  • Status badge — Completed / In Progress / Failed

  • Source path, following the scope: Organization / Workspace / Project / Activity

  • Relative timestamp (e.g., "Yesterday · 19 hrs ago"), with full Created At / Updated At and time zone tracked in the backend

Clicking "Show All Notifications" at the bottom of the panel opens the full notification history.

Access & Visibility Rules

  • Owners/Superadmins see all notifications across the organization.

  • Engineers/Annotators see only notifications tied to their own jobs, workspaces, and projects.

  • A user not part of a workspace/project never receives notifications for it, even within the same org.

No notifications are fired for minor actions: Save, Save As, Append (as a standalone save), Ready to Merge, or Export Started.
